Benefits of pure rosehip oil and how to recognize it

Updated: Sep 26, 2023

There are a large number of cosmetic products that include rosehip oil as an ingredient, due to its regenerative, nourishing and skin firming properties, since it is proven that it strengthens the connective tissue, composed of collagen and elastin fibers that provide firmness and elasticity to the skin.

In order for this to be verified, rosehip oil must be pure and organic, only in this way will it be able to preserve and offer all its benefits and achieve the desired results.

The seeds contained in the pulp of the rosehip contain the highest amount of vitamins A and C, which fulfill the function of generating collagen.

For this reason, the oils that are extracted by cold-pressing the rosehip seeds are what promote the greatest benefits for the skin.

This cold pressing process, without any type of heating or additives, allows obtaining a pure oil that preserves all its beneficial properties for the skin. In this way, the essential fatty acids are unaltered at the molecular level, which allows the skin to assimilate them 100%.

This oil also contains vitamins A, E, K, B1, B2 and minerals such as magnesium and potassium which are powerful antioxidants. Another fundamental characteristic of an oil of maximum purity is that its origin should be organic, containing no pesticides, artificial preservatives, chemical additives or synthetic aromas of any kind.

The bottle of a pure oil should be made of glass and be dark amber, brown or blue in color, to prevent the product from coming into direct contact with light, thus helping to better preserve all its properties.

The label on the container must indicate that the oil is 100% pure and organic and have the necessary authorization (in Argentina granted by ANMAT, after having certified the quality of the product by means of tests and trials in authorized and certified entities).

100% pure oil has a distinctive aroma that is not that of roses or of the rosehip fruit. If it has no aroma it is a sign that it has been refined, or it is not pure, and if it has a sweet aroma it is because artificial flavorings have been added.

The natural color of pure oil is slightly orange amber, if it is transparent or of any other color it is a sign that it has been refined or that it includes the maceration of fruits of some other carrier oil.

To discover the true 100% pure rosehip oil is to begin to enjoy benefits that will elevate your well-being.
